Message from HOD

With all that at my behest , my experience as a clinical pathologist and observer ships in National and international reputed institutes , I would at the outset , like to advocate that a strong efficient and a well-organized diagnostic laboratory back up is irrefutably cardinal for any health care institute of repute , for its academic and patient care components. To be bestowed with such a diagnostic facility of commendable echelons , the prerequisites are state of the art technology , full automation , well qualified and highly trained lab personal indigenous supporting staff and of course un-interrupted regular supply of essentials. In endure to achieve parity with the standard, we process the samples – be it fluids, blood or tissue with utmost care and concern toward great professionalism and best of our knowledge PG’s and residents are specially groomed to keep them abreast with the latest WHO and international guidelines and recommendations are adopted religiously. Work culture, punctuality hard work, discipline and commitment are never compromised. The department has to its credit an appreciably good number of publications in reputed journals. Many a research projects have been completed and many more are being chased by our faculty and residents.

My impending endeavor shall be to reshape the department and extend its service by newer and add-ons of higher dimensions like molecular pathology and tissue procurement for patient care and research purposes. My contrite efforts to upgrade and improvise the department surely brought fruition by considerate understanding and appraisal of higher authorities.

I am passionately preoccupied with envisioning to take my department to higher levels of sophistication.

I shall not miss to thank all those physicians / surgeons and colleagues from other allied specialties who have reposed trust in me and by dint of whose encouragement our services have upgraded to cognizable scales, and I cherish to see my department growing to much better levels of acceptance and reputation by our patient community and physician.
