Level 1 - Counter Tables 02 manned by Junior &Senior Resident on duty

Level 1 - 05 Couches for reception, initial assessment, Rx of the patient

Level 1 - Sister’s room

Level 1 - Dressing and first aid room near Casualty Medical Officer’s room

Level 2 – Emergency Ward with capacity of 30 Beds and Sisters counter

Level 3 –Fully equipped Emergency Operation Theatre Complex having 03 OT

Tables, 04 Electrocautery Units, 04 Suction apparatuses, 02 Autoclave

                 machines, 01 Sigmoidoscope. In addition, it has space/rooms for

                Changing, scrubbing, stores, retiring rooms for surgeons,

                anaesthetists and paramedic staff.

Level 3 - Senior Resident’s room

Availability of Lift, Ramp and stairs in the vicinity for easy transport of the patient.

Surgical emergency patients are first assessed in the surgical casualty reception area on the ground floor and are seen by Senior PG/Senior Resident and first aid and plan of investigations is made. The Consultant on call conducts 2-3 rounds daily the last being late in the evening and is always available on call after working hours. The senior faculty of the particular unit for the day is always available for the emergency if the need arises. The patients after overnight stay are shifted to the wards for further management.
